Privacy policy
What SaveTogether knows about you, what Garage keeps for your payments, and how to delete it.
Updated 4 November 2026
In short
- SaveTogether keeps only what it needs to run savings pools for your office: who you are, your spots and orders, and what you write in live rooms.
- Your money is never held by SaveTogether. You pay at Garage checkout, and money back, interest and refunds go to your Garage Store Vault, which Garage keeps.
- No ads, no tracking across apps or websites, no selling or renting your data, no analytics companies.
- You can delete your account and your SaveTogether data from the app at any time (More → Account → Delete account).
Logging in
- You log in with your Garage account (garage.app): your email address or phone number and a 6-digit code. SaveTogether never sees or keeps a password.
- From Garage, SaveTogether gets your account id, name, profile picture, email or phone number, and the offices you belong to with your role in each.
- Your login is kept on this phone in its secure storage (Keychain on iPhone, Keystore on Android) until you log out.
Paying and your money
- You pay for spots at Garage checkout, with your Store Vault balance, a card, UPI in India, or crypto outside India. Your card, bank, UPI and crypto details go to Garage and its payment partners, never to SaveTogether.
- SaveTogether sees each order: how much, for which spots, and whether it is waiting, paid, expired or refunded, with its times.
- Money back, interest, refunds and commission are paid into your Garage Store Vault. Its balance and history are kept by Garage, under Garage’s own privacy policy. SaveTogether has no wallet of its own.
- The Store Vault tab shows your Store Vault balance and history: your phone reads them straight from Garage with your own login, and the SaveTogether server does not keep them.
What SaveTogether keeps
- Your name and picture, shown to people of the same office (for example in a live room or on the list of picked members).
- Your spots, the notes you add to them, your orders, and every payment a pool made to your Store Vault (money back, interest, refund, commission), so every pool’s books add up.
- In live rooms: your chat messages, quiz answers and poll votes.
- Notifications SaveTogether sends you inside the app, and, for office founders, a log of the changes they make.
What stays on your phone
- The office and currency you looked at last, and the live session reminders you turned on.
- Live session reminders are scheduled on your phone itself. SaveTogether does not collect a push token or any device id.
- Photos: the app opens your photo library only when an office founder picks a cover picture for a pool. That one picture is uploaded to Garage’s file storage and shown as the pool’s cover.
Who else sees your data
- People of your office see your name, picture, chat messages and the interest you got. The founder of your office also sees your spots and orders.
- Garage (garage.app) runs the login, the checkout, your Store Vault and the file storage SaveTogether uses. To pay you, SaveTogether tells Garage whom to pay, how much and why (for example “money back from this pool”).
- When a pool pays commission, Garage pays it up each member’s network through the office’s comp plan. For that, SaveTogether tells Garage who joined and for how much.
- Each pick is public, so anyone can check it: the pick history publishes every sealed spot’s number, a short tag instead of your name, and its note, and the picked members are shown by name.
- Picks use public randomness from the drand network, and their codes are stamped on Bitcoin through OpenTimestamps. Only codes are sent there, nothing about you.
- We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- As long as you have an account. Spots, orders and payments stay with the pool they belong to, so every pool’s books still add up, but without your name once you delete your account.
- Records of money paid in and out may have to be kept longer when the law requires it (for example for tax or anti-money-laundering rules).
Deleting your account
- In the app: More → Account → Delete account (or in Garage). SaveTogether first removes your chat messages and notifications and replaces your name and picture with a neutral placeholder, then your Garage account is deleted with a code sent to your email.
- A note on a spot that is already sealed in a pick stays, next to a tag and no name: changing it would break that pick’s public proof.
- Your Store Vault is part of your Garage account. Before you delete it, wait for the money back of any pool you are still in, and withdraw what is in your Store Vault in Garage.
- Office founders must hand the founder role to someone else in Garage first.
Age
- You pay in with your own money (INR or USD) through Garage, and the interest goes to members picked at random, so SaveTogether is only for people aged 18 and over.
Changes
- If this policy changes, the SaveTogether app and website show the new version with its date.
